You can reproduce this bug by unplugging the ac-adapter and plug it in
again. After some times (about 5 or so) the battery/ac-adapter - Status
stops updating.

I found the idea here: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6455
and tried it myself.

The bug is really annoying.
