[Bug 49042] nic 3c900B not working

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.15-23-386

Ethernet controller: 3Com Corporation 3c900B-TPC Etherlink XL [Cyclone] (rev 04)
 kernel module loads and interface appears up but error message comes up saying "localhost kernel: [   91.207853] ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): eth0: link is not ready"

I have had to revert back to linux-image-2.6.10-5-386 where it is
working fine.
