Ben, can we close this one? I haven't seen the issue in forever on the same systems; up until a few weeks ago I was running K8 x86-64 dapper, switched back to i386 due to video driver breakage and Flash. -- bugs in k8 SMP kernel https://launchpad.net/bugs/32072
