The new x86 Macs don't boot without some hacks:

the kernel-diff is quite large (2MB), and I'm not expecting it to be
applied as-is, but reported this anyway so you know that it needs some
trickery to boot :) (also, I have the iMac only for a week, so this bug
is just a placeholder for me).
