I have also seen this warnings. It seems that there is a fix in newer
version of the driver - from changelog:
Feb 17 2006 Changes in 1.0.12
* Suppress "Unknown notification..." warning message
I hope ipw2200 driver will get updated from 1.0.10 to 1.1.0 (newest)
before release.
