[Bug 35197] powerbook fails to suspend when the is lid closed

Description:
My 12" G4 powerbook fails to suspend when the lid closes (it has never
worked on any release of Ubuntu).

I have tried with dapper flight 5

flight 5 is the first release I have seen which is able to turn the
backlight of when I close the lid.

/proc/cpuinfo says that my motherboard is;

PowerBook6,4 MacRISC3 Power Macintosh

Please let me know if you need any more info.
