The bug may come from a buggy DSDT which breaks ACPI functionnalities.

Probably a good DSDT might be this one:

You should report it to Acer since, I think, it is not possible to
correct automatically all the DSDT in the Linux kernel. It is the
manufacturer's job to provide correct DSDT.
