Public bug reported:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/36015

Affects: linux-source-2.6.15 (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
IBM does not have a free software driver for the 3592 tape drives, but
it would be very neat if they could build Ubuntu drivers too, not just
the others listed here:

ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/storage/devdrvr/Linux/

(redhat, suse, asianux)

Since we're talking about tape drives typically found in fairly high-end
tape libraries (multiple racks with robot arms and stuff), having things
Supported by IBM would be good, even if you could possibly find a way to
push an rhel kernel onto a butchered Ubuntu system.
