For the record, the reason we use iftab in this way is because otherwise
there's no predictability to the order your network cards would get
named.

Thanks to drivers behaving in different ways, firmware loading times,
etc. It's not only likely, but probable, that each boot the kernel-
assigned eth0, eth1, eth2 would be different.

Most laptops tend to see daily swapping of wired and wireless
interfaces.

To fix this we use iftab; which is written by the installer and can be
maintained by the user if they're having problems.
