Public bug reported:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/37005
Affects: linux-source-2.6.15 (Ubuntu)
Severity: Normal
Priority: (none set)
Status: Needs Info
Affects: ubuntu-meta ubuntu-standard (Ubuntu)
Severity: Normal
Priority: (none set)
Status: Rejected
Description:
Sorry if i selected the wrong package but this is a bug in general with
Ubuntu that so far has not been solved in Dapper Flight 5.
Basically my CPU does not display in Gnome device manager and when using
the BOINC client for distributed computing the benchmarks for my CPU are
FAR lower than those in windows. A typical work unit in BOINC under
windows on my machine is estimated to take 1200 hrs. Under Ubuntu it is
set to take 5000+ hrs!
A clear sign that ubuntu does not recognise/use my CPU properly.
