Public bug reported:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/37056

Affects: linux-meta linux-restricted-modules-386 (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
Since there are many graphics boards that have many different issues
with these or those versions of nvidia-glx/nvidia-kernel, I think there
should be one pair of packages (-glx and -kernel) per driver version. At
least some versions for us to choose, and one default version for
everyone (so the power users may switch driver versions).

Another thing would be to split the linux-restricted-modules package,
because, for example, I want a nVIDIA driver, I don't want the ATI
modules ocupying my disk. ATI's and fcpcmcia and fcusb and many others
(madwifi, firmwares...).

This bug isn't so much only about nVIDIA, but it's also about the linux-
restricted-modules packages. And, for what I understand, the 2.6 kernel
is more kind with the same module on different kernel versions.
