Public bug reported:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/37294
Affects: linux-source-2.6.15 kernel-image-2.6.15-19-386-di (Ubuntu)
Severity: Normal
Priority: (none set)
Status: Unconfirmed
Description:
I have a simple program that uses two threads (it actually measures the
behaviour of multithreading). The point is, the threads never seem to
utilize the two processors.
General multiprocessing (running several programs and seeing them occupy
different processor cores) works OK.
I'm running the latest Dapper with a stock SMP kernel on a Dell Inspiron
9400 - which has a dual-core Centrino Duo processor. I'll post the
benchmark in an attachment to this report.
