not seems same bug, my card reader works a little different 
i can use sd/mmc without problem also if i don't plug a card on load
i can use floppy only if plug a sd card prior to use floppy, same thing 
doesn't work with a mmc card
i don't have compact flash or micro drive to test the other socket
