Subject: linux-image-2.6.15-23-686: When I log in right after the system boots, there's a weird screen dirt underneath the cursor
Package: linux-image-2.6.15-23-686
Version: 2.6.15-23.39
Severity: normal
When I interrupt grub and manually select 2.6.15-22 kernel this problem
doesn't happen. The "dirt" is in the form of black horizontal line about 6
times as wide as the cursor itself and 3 or 4 cursor-heights below where
the cursor appears.
After using the system for a minute it seems to go away but then it comes
back, sometimes in different colors. Playing video through xv seems to
have some effect on it.
Hardware is a thinkpad T43 with 1G of memory. Using the fglrx driver.
