Public bug reported:

I have this ethernet adapter that uses the sk98lin driver.
Ethernet controller: 3Com Corporation 3c940 10/100/1000Base-T [Marvell] (rev 12)

Sometimes when I fire up Ubuntu I can't get a network connection. I have
to deactivate and activate the card to get the connection up again.
Usually this happens after updates Dapper 6.06 b2. About every fifth
time this happens :(

I also have this WLAN-card:
Network controller: RaLink Ralink RT2500 802.11 Cardbus Reference Card (rev 01)

But my gateway device is always eth0 (sk98lin)

** Affects: linux-source-2.6.15 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Medium
         Status: Needs Info
