Yes, the supend mode for the external screen  still doesnt work together with the Dell 630m. It worked well in the beginning (Dapper beta), but some standard updates later it failed. I tried several settings in the energy settings but it still doesnt work. 
When I do not log in (waiting at the login screen) the supend mode seems to work.
