i have a mac computer and it has a g3 processor and i cant seem to install linux from the cd i keep reciving an error, [171.240834] soft lockup on cpu#0!. im using the new ubuntu disks out there i need a lot of ideals of fixing this.....or a ton of commands on how to install this off the live cd using yaboot cause i cant get past yaboot loader 
pleeze help it is a imac computer built in monitor.i have tried all i can do with the live cd that is even booting live i do not have it installed to the hard drive and that is because i cannot get it to boot up.
