[Bug 34709] Dapper 5, wireless RT61 problem

Public bug reported:

I was very happy to see that my wireless RT61 got detected by Ubuntu,
unfortunately when I 'iwconfig essid ra0 some_ssid' mt computer hangs
with 99% of the CPU being taken by iwconfig. This also happened in the
previous release.

Please let me know if you need anymore information.
