I have same problem on Fujitsu-Siemens L1310G. Since I was using Ubuntu Edgy Eft, my cpu fan didn't work. Cpu was very hot and laptop automaticaly turned off. Previous versions of Ubuntu were without problem. -- CPU fan not activating on HP NX6125 https://launchpad.net/bugs/24308
