[Bug 69339] ipw3945 module fails to detect wireless card after upgrade

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.15-27-686

Upgraded to latest 2.6.15-27 kernel (tried both 386 and 686) and the
ipw3945 stopped detecting my wireless card.  Previous version was
2.6.15-23 in which wireless card worked "out-of-the-box".

The workaround is this:

sudo cp /sbin/ipw3945d-2.6.15-23-686 /sbin/ipw3945d-2.6.15-27-686

Obviously this is just a module version mismatch, but not good when it
breaks wireless completely.
