Confirmed as broken in today's daily build - gah!

Installer kernel is -8 which i believe is the one that should contain
the fix, what other information can I offer?

That's CD-ROM drive detection failing AND detection of my SATAs failing
(even after trying various bios compatibility settings, AHCI seems to
say they're up and freeze for 30 seconds, then the link is lost due to
qc timeout or similar...)
