[Bug 50142] Shut down and Reboot (ppc) Dapper

There is a bug, with doing the following:
even after all the updates, as of 6/17/06
the problem is still there... (not there in breezy )

When I re-start the computer ppc there a very long (off white color) screen with lines... sometime it hangs, 
(I've got to do a hard re-boot),

Then upon re-boot up, there a very bright white screen,
and if I don't do move the mouse, and click enter,
and move the mouse and click, I don't get to the login screen, it just hangs... (ppc version of dapper ) g4 mac

Again, I don't see any of the loaded of modules and services, like I do
on my laptop amd64, I see only the booting yaboot, then white screen.
