I have a T21, T22 and a T23 all with a 1400x1050 screen, and at least
the T21 has only 8Mb of display memory, which means that it's not enough
to enable DRI with that resolution (X works otherwise). I tried with a
lower one (1024x768) and I now get DRI enabled and X works.

This is with gutsy. Please try Tribe4 when it is released later this
week.
