Does this belong in a new bug report?
I've found that if I 'modprobe -r snd_intel8x0' and then 'modprobe
snd_intel8x0' I get sound back. This is on a ThinkPad T43 running 7.10
gutsy.
Suggestions? Help? More info needed?
