[Bug 40119] Re: SPARC boot failed: Illegal Instruction

I don't know if it is any help, but this morning I booted a SunBlade 100
formatted with Solaris 8 using the gentoo 2006.1 minimal CD.  I
installed gentoo using fdisk to partition the disk, but upon reboot the
install failed.

Now when I try to boot off the CD (as I did successfully this morning),
I get this exact error.  Does that give you any clues?
