also the media mounter applet is affected by this problem.

  I can reproduce this bug every time, if I logout and then login again.
  The inhibit suspend does not work and the brightness applet tells me that it can't find the laptop brightness controls.
+ And the media mounter applet (drivemount_applet2) disappears
  
- gnome-power-manager 2.17.91-0ubuntu1
+ could it be a hal/dbus bug?
