I have the same problem withe my t60p on 6.06 Dapper Drake.

My network controler:
Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection (rev 02)

I test with 7.04 Feisty Fawn  (kernel 2.6.20-8-generic) and the problem
is still here.
