I now have access to one of these hand-sets and it works out of the box
(yealink.ko is used).  The keypad acts as
left/up/down/right/enter/backspace/escape/0-9/*/£  (maybe an American
who wasn't quite sure what a POUND_SIGN was... rather than a hash?).
