I have successfully built the tree from
http://www.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/kyle/ubuntu-dapper-
updates.git but it is lacking the last commit
(816aa907b909177bdf6e6e6b0d00c5e5a6e2be8c) which introduce raid support
in mptsas.

Applying my backported patch
(http://librarian.launchpad.net/5702451/linux-2.6.git-
816aa907b909177bdf6e6e6b0d00c5e5a6e2be8c-backported.patch) on top of it
does the trick.
