You have been subscribed to a public bug:
Processor: Pentium 4 3.4 1mb cache
Motherboard: Intel D865GLC
Network Adapters: Davicom / DM9102AF (for my normal use) and Realtek RTL8139D (I tried that one to see if the problem was in the network adapter, but still the same problem)
Internet: Cable Modem -- DHCP, share the conection with others PCs
HUB: Encore / ENH908 - NWY
Cables: 568A
Versions of Dapper where this problem shows up: Flight CD 5, 6 --Live CD
and Alternate CD Release Candidate -- and the Final Version too! :(
With Ubuntu 5.10 everything works just fine!
How its happen: After make the Login, Gnome shows me the conection icon
and I can navigate on internet, just a feel seconds later the icon shows
me "conection failed". So I verifie the network interface, the DHCP
server and there was my IP and mask.
Sorry about my English!
** Affects: linux-source-2.6.15 (Ubuntu)
Importance: Medium
Status: Incomplete
