It  is still not working. I'm still having the same problem.  I found a
solution to make it work so it does sound, but I need to disable ACPI .
I'm  using kernel 2.6.20 (Linux version 2.6.20-16-generic
(root at terranova) (gcc version 4.1.2 (Ubuntu 4.1.2-0ubuntu4)) #2 SMP Wed
May 23 01:46:23 UTC 2007)   with acpi=off and it does sound well, but
now I don't know the status of my battery and those stuff.
