Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux

I have a 6-in-1 card reader plugged into the PCMCIA slot of my laptop.
In Edgy Eft (and indeed all other distributions with a kernel <2.6.20),
the card reader has worked as expected. When I inserted a SD-card (or
indeed any other card), a device node would be created and hal would
automatically mount the device. With the current Feisty kernel
(2.6.20-12-generic), this does not happen.

I think it is related to the new libata driver. At least I know that the
card mounts properly under Sidux live CD which also uses a 2.6.20-kernel
image.

I'll attach the output of dmesg. The most interesting part of it, I
would presume, is the last part. Please let me know if I can provide
further information.

** Affects: linux-meta (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
