Please try if the problem still exists in 1.49. Install 1.49 from
ndiswrapper.sf.net (don't forget to run sudo make uninstall before make
and sudo make install).

hyperair, please note that the link quality is calculated differently
from driver to driver. Make sure it's not just a different value but a
real difference in regards of range, speed and so on.
