The reason for the lack of attention might be several things:

(i) there is a long bug list right now for linux-meta:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-meta

(ii) We haven't defined the bug precisely enough.  Should it be linux-
meta or linux-sources or something else?  We're not talking about
sources here but about the compiled kernel.

(iii) The bug simply hasn't been confirmed yet.

Does anyone else recall the same problem with Feisty?  I certainly
experienced it on my machine although not to the same degree (it would
boot most of the time and just hang occasionally, whereas now it hangs
most of the time and boots rarely).
