With "quiet" still enabled, try adding this boot option:

ec_intr=1

It should force the GPE to use interrupt mode.

Also, a long shot, but try:

acpi_os_name="Windows 2006"

since the Vaios often have Vista-specific functionality in the ACPI
BIOS.
