[Bug 254699] [NEW] Update breaks Intel wireless

Public bug reported:

A recent update of the backport modules (2.6.24.20.22) generic broke my
wireless.

Network Monitor wouldn't show any networks. I set set the network up
again, after which it did show the network, but at zero strength (I was
sitting three metres from the router). I tried manual configuration, but
no luck.

Removing the package solved the problem for me. I only had it installed
from an attempt to get ALSA working (failed), but others may depend on
it.
