[Bug 254741] [NEW] Tyan Tiger mobo has complete freeze on heavy disk IO

Binary package hint: linux-image

Any combination of apps that cause heavy disk IO to occur causes a
complete freeze of the machine.

Nothing works, either remotely nor at the console - including Alt-SysReq
key-combinations.

Kernel versions up to and including 2.6.24-12 (2.6.24-12.22) work
perfectly, all later builds of 2.6.24 and all versions of 2.6.26 I've
tested so far (up to 2.6.26-5.14) I've tried have exhibited the problem.
