Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-image

Hi,

I have a Thinkpad T60 with integrated accelerometers, fully supported in
Hardy 64 bits (8.04.1) by using hdaps_ec.ko (tp_smapi)

The problem is that the kernel is not patched to also nable
/sys/block/sda/queue/protect in order to park heads while moving the
laptop (I think thats the original intention for hdaps_ec, apart for
games).

Currently to enable this I have to manually patch the kernel and rebuild
the image and modules, using the attached patches.

It would be interesting to include it in a future update.

** Affects: linux-meta (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
