Just installed today's daily-live ISO of Intrepid. Same symptoms as
Hardy: no files or sub-directories to be seen under
/proc/acpi/thermal_zone.. it's 100% empty :-/

I tripled checked my BIOS settings, but yes, ACPI is indeed enabled, no
problem there...
