[Bug 262403] [NEW] [intrepid] System fails to start with linux 2.6.27.1.1

Public bug reported:

Boot up process with this kernel version hangs.

When booting in recovery mode, it gets stuck at "setting the system
clock"

My system works fine with kernel version 2.6.26-5-generic

System in an Asus A6JA laptop. 1G Ram ATI x1600 graphics. Intel chipset.
