Hi,

I've put up some kernel packages (linux - 2.6.24-20.35cking7 with a
linux-image that contains two relevant patches) in my PPA at
https://launchpad.net/~colin-king/+archive

Please try this kernel and report any success/regressions. If this fixes
the problem I can add the patch to Hardy.
