it is definitely an Intel Linux Wireless (either iwl4965 driver or
mac80211) fault.

I just manually updated the driver version from 1.2.25 (version shipped
in latest 2.6.24-19 kernel) to version 1.2.26k from compat-
wireless-2008-07-04. Now network manages to re-authenticate smoothly on
resume from suspend and hibernate.
