I'm also suffering from this, fresh Hardy install Acer Aspire 1360,
neti2220 card.

NDISWrapper reports a working device and driver, nm-applet doesn't
detect any networks to connect to. My other laptop running Hardy has no
problems connecting to the network and this laptop connects fine under
XP. Only stopped working on the update to Hardy so I did a fresh install
and was met with the same problem.

I'm going to try unencrypting the network as a temporary fix, I live in
the middle of no where so it's not really a problem. I'll also upgrade
the kernel on one of my test machines to check it all works okay, then
do it on this. I'll post up my results.
