I have this problem as well.  It happens in all guest OS's.  I resolve
the issue by using RDP in to my Windows guests instead of directly
viewing the VM.  My Linux VM's I never directly interface anyway.

8.04 AMD64 Nvidia, all standard 8.04 build versions.  Vmware 6.5 beta
