At my work I have a Dell Precision 380 running fedora for some years now.
I wanted to install Ubuntu 8.04 because I'm happily using ubuntu since 6.04 on my laptop and finally found time to install Ubuntu on my desktop.
When I install I get the typical ubuntu scrolling bar after kernel load
for a while and the I get a black screen with the following message :
BusyBox v1.1.3 (Debian 1:1.1.3-5ubuntu12) Built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of build-in commands.
(initramfs) __
I tried the same with 7.10 (so I could then try an upgrade) but it ended
in the same way.
** Affects: initramfs-tools (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
