I have received a message from Caroline Ford suggesting to try Hardy
Haron Apha's thing.  I did, Alpha 6, and the sound still doesn't work.

So, Hardy Heron does nothing for this problem.

Also, the happy CD of this Alpha 6 that supposedly doesn't install on
the hard disk is way too aggressive, and starts installing on the disk.
Bad CD.  Bad CD.
