The b43 driver should not work with your hardware.  According to the
developers a 4306 w/ a revision less than 4 (your lshw says version=3)
should use b43legacy.  Please try that one and try again.  Someone
should fix the udev scripts to pull in the correct driver if they didn't
already.  What confuses me is that they say the kernel autoloader should
have done the "right thing."
