thanks for your bugreport.
Does that happens also with an other Ubuntu Version? For example with the latest Ubuntu developer version Hardy beta one?
You can download them from http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download

If you are running Dapper and don't want to install an other Ubuntu version:
There is a kernel update for Dapper available. The latest version is: linux-image-2.6.15-51-386

If it happend again, can you provide the following informations:
What is the output from uname -a ?
What is the output from lspci ?
