Thanks for your info, maybe it is related to the post you provided. 
I added clocksource=hpet to the kopt in grub and boot went fine.
dmesg still showing "Clocksource tsc unstable (delta = -83373425 ns)"  but so far my system seems to be doing ok :-)
I'lll keep an eye on it.
