I also confirm Jack's findings. Works now via USB in Intrepid Alpha 5.
In Hardy it is recognised via USB, but "Acquire preview" hangs. Also
when connected via firewire, works in Hardy, but not in Intrepid Alpha
5. I report dmeg output in bug 266989 Jack opened.
